In ‘Likeness and Beyond’ Eva Karapanou comments on the myth of fame delivered to us through mass produced images. By tracing and copying the photo portraits of famous individuals she explores issues of representation and uniqueness, abstraction and information. The messages of her quick drawings are entwined with the qualities of the synthetic materials from which they are made.
